- About the APEC Tariff Database
The APEC Tariff Database is the Internet site with tariff information for the
APEC member economies. After registration, you can access the following
features:
Harmonized System Codes
The classification system of the Harmonized System Convention includes the tariff
classification numbering system. These codes are subdivided at various levels to
provide greater detail and definition for a product. This tariff information,
provided by member economies, is published in the APEC Tariff Database.
Each classification level is identified as follows:
01.01 Heading
0101.01 Subheading
0101.01 01 Tariff item - Economy specific
0101.01 01.10 Classification number - Economy specific
The first six digits represent the international
portion of the classification number and are the numbers used by
all countries that agree to the Harmonized System Convention. The last
four or more digits reflect specific ecomomy tariff and statistical
information.
